Resilience Beyond the Grid

Designing power infrastructure for reliability, flexibility, and transition

Over twenty years in distributed energy. In the data center power conversation since 2016. Now focused on AI infrastructure resilience.

Five Nines and Fast Power

Reliability is no longer a feature of backup systems. It has become a foundational question of how data center infrastructure is conceived, deployed, and evolved. A forthcoming book on making better energy decisions when speed, resilience, and long-term performance all have to be solved at once.

The Context

This site brings together two decades of experience in distributed energy, CHP, and resilient power systems from waste-to-energy infrastructure in the early 2000s to the AI data centre power debate now. Perspectives, recent conversations, and past engagements are collected here.

The common thread across these sectors has been the challenge of deploying infrastructure that must balance reliability, economics, operational performance, and long-term transition.
